It is more than two years since a devastating earthquake hit Nepal. Many of the country's precious temples were destroyed and have still not been rebuilt. They could soon be put on a danger list if action is not taken soon
There are at least 50 colonial-era fountains in Mumbai. Most of these are in gardens, along former tram routes and in accessible public spaces. Some have been destroyed over time through neglect, or infrastructure projects.
Phnom Penh is among Asia's fastest growing cities and that means much of its old architecture has to go, with residents being evicted and paid off so big investors can move in. The city's most iconic example of the 1960s so-called New Khmer Architecture is the White Building and in a matter of weeks the structure will be gone. Japan's Okinoshima island has been declared a World Heritage site by the UN's cultural body Unesco. Okinoshima is home to the Okitsu shrine, built in the 17th century to pray for the safety of sailors.
